In the last 36 months there has been an uptick in Naples, and in general Southwest Florida with a double-digit per annum increase for single family new home construction, ranging from as high as 20 to almost 60 percent. "We, at Land Solutions," states Randy Thibault, "are excited because we went from a few thousand permits in 2009 to the 12,000 we are doing now. So in 2015 we are back to stablilty, and that is a great thing. We predict 13,000 - 14,000 new permits for 2016, showing a solid and healthy market."
Mr. Thibault, adds, "My advice for buyers if they plan on getting in the market - and some may have gotten in a little late - now is the time. Prices have gone up 50 percent in the last year in some cases because of materials, labor, and optimism. "
Judy Green, president and CEO at Premier Sotheby's says, "At Sotheby's the average sales price increased increased 8 percent to $1.1 million in 2015, and the volume of sales jumped to more than $4 billion up from $3.4 billion in 2014.
Denny Grimes, a veteran realtor, and owner of a Southwest Florida real estate firm states, "In Collier County (Naples and Marco Island), luxury sales for 2015 had a 54 percent increase in sales."
